The autumn semester at university has been fully underway for a few weeks now and unfortunately I've been constantly ill ever since the undergrads have arrived back from their holidays!
There have been a few things to keep me occupied and keep my mind off my snotty nose though. In fact it was great to spend a weekend visiting Rob and Marta in Basel for the first time since they moved out there. We had some great food and saw some lovely sights, although I was a little unsure at first about taking a bike ride into France. It was totally worth it though to see the boy and Rob riding tandem...
We spent the following weekend in Cardiff catching up with Janey, Al, Cath and Rich, taking in a Tom Jones gig at the CIA. Tom was absolutely fantastic! It's amazing how much energy such an old man can have, although I don't think I have ever seen so much sweat in my life!
I have been working this weekend whilst the Boy is away catching up with his folks, leaving me to fend for myself with yet another cold :(
