I've been working fairly hard over the last few weeks (as usual of course...) to try and get the end of my PhD firmly in sight. There's not too long to go now, but I'm still yet to make a plan for what to do next! There are just too many possibilities.

I've been doing well at avoiding the big decisions though with some welcome distractions.

The Boy and I headed to Exeter last weekend for a long awaited catch-up with old Met Office colleagues. We visited a few old haunts and some new ones exactly 6 years after we first headed for the South West (and of course since the Boy and I first met, ah how sweet).

This Friday a few of the uni crew (plus my friend Chris from college) headed for drinks and a dance in town. It must have been the first time I have been to Dusk nightclub in about 8 years (in fact I think it has changed names at least twice since I last went there) but it was a fantastic night :)

I'm looking forward to seeing an event tomorrow in London about evidence-based policy-making (does that make me sad?) with Evan Harris MP and Professor David Nutt. It should be good. Later in the week I am also attending a conference about energy solutions for the future as a representative of Surrey's nuclear community. It's all go!

Mood: Pondering the big stuff...
