I'm at work at the moment, despite the fact that the University is now shut for a week over Christmas and New Year. I just have too much to do! I have three months of funding left and am intending to submit a thesis at the end of that time (although it's going to be a tough task), and hopefully start a job or postdoc. I have applied for a few things, but no word yet and I'd like to explore a few more options before time runs out.
I feel quite content being in the office though knowing that everyone else is out there stressing about their last minute Christmas shopping, or worrying about whether they have forgotten anything for the dinner tomorrow, but I'm not going to be worrying about any of that. The Boy and I are off to see his folks tomorrow, then mine for New Year, but in true Scrooge style I'm hoping that my presence is present enough for everyone! I'm sure I'll have my celebrations when the PhD is complete and I have plans for the future...
